Hi,

I am making progress on the SMB decode module for Ethereal (www.zing.org).

I have got a framework in place which allows routines for SMBs to be
slotted in easily.

I have done about 75% of the Negotiate Protocol SMB, and it is clear that
it is going to take some time to handle an appreciable amount of the SMB
protocol.

I estimate a couple of months, spending an hour here and there ...

Of course, some basics are done, in that the basic stuff for each SMB is
there, just not the details. Also, many SMBs are simpler than NetProt.
