He also had a bunch of other stuff, but maybe the stuff to use the
kernel's packet filter can be extracted and put into something that Just
Compiles (although if you build it on a 2.0[.x] system it might not be
able to use the kernel's packet filter unless it gets its own private
copies of the relevant "ioctl" codes - I sincerely hope all platforms on
which 2.1[.x]/2.2[.x] runs use the same "ioctl" code, but with Linux's
habit of lots of per-platform "ioctl"s, that may not be the case...).
