Yes, greater accuracy is a good thing.  It would also be accurate to say that
I've received more complaints about the behavior and accuracy of the timestamp
display from v1.12 forward than v1.11.* back.  After the initial big changes in
the DIS dissector, the timestamp tended to display either 0.000000000 or
0.000000001 for any given timestamp value.  This was then 'fixed' but only
displayed with millisecond accuracy in spite of the spec calling for
microseconds.

That has already been resolved, with the only remaining piece to restore the
display format to mm:ss.nnnnnn.

Agreed.  If I read you correctly, I'd choose door #1.
